Seven small islands, some of [00:10:10]them only large rocks, lying off the eastern coast, [00:17:17]also belong to Dolphin Island. Winfield, the capital [00:24:24]city, lies on the southwestern coast. [00:31:31]The highest mountain on Dolphin Island, Mount Ashton in [00:38:38]the west, is a dead volcano. It is part of a range of [00:45:45]mountains, running from north to south along the [00:52:52]western coast .The beaches in the north and on the [00:59:59]eastern coast are covered with fine white sand. Dolphin [01:05:05]island has a mild sea climate. Most of the land can be [01:12:12]used as farmland. The south of the island is covered [01:19:19]with forests. [01:26:26] Dolphin Island has only four cities: The town of [01:33:33]Ashton Creek lies in the north, Winfield in the [01:40:40]southwest, Turnpike in the centre and Epsom on the [01:47:47]eastern coast, about forty kilometers from Ashton. A [01:54:54]railway line connects these cities. There is a small [02:01:01]river that runs from the foot of Mount Ashton, through [02:08:08]the northern town into the ocean. Dolphin Island is [02:15:15]popular with tourists both from east Asia and the [02:22:22]United States. Most of them stay in the seaside town of [02:29:29]Ashton Creek, where many hotels have been built over [02:36:36]the past five years. Most of the people on the island [02:43:43]make a living from farming. In the summer months, some [02:50:50]people get a nice, extra income out of tourism, while [02:57:57]in winter fishing is also important.
