[00:31.35]Listen to the tale I tell
[00:35.42]a haunting dream I know so well
[00:39.50]When walking home alone one night
[00:43.29]my path revealed by candlelight
[00:47.23]Ahead I see an open door
[00:51.24]with no idea what's in store
[00:55.21]I glance inside the door to see
[00:59.21]a hall of mirrors beckon me
[01:03.38]I take a breath and step inside
[01:07.22]a tale of love and shattered pride
[01:11.22]The door slams shut, I start to run
[01:15.21]And it seems my journey has begun...

[02:32.62]with fear and panic in my eyes
[02:36.23]The vastness overwhelming me
[02:39.52]mirrors far as the eye can see

[07:10.00]II. The Stranger in the Storm

[07:18.64]The light of the mirrors has faded away
[07:22.04]into distant memory
[07:24.98]As the rain keeps coming down
[07:30.54]My candle extinguished
[07:32.55]I struggle to walk a path I cannot see
[07:36.90]And the rain keeps coming down

[07:54.58]The darkness grows with every step
[07:57.99]I could cut it with a knife
[08:00.91]As the rain keeps coming down
[08:06.76]I can't see a thing, I've never felt
[08:09.94]so alone in all my life

[08:48.01]Maybe this was the plan back from the day I was born
[08:53.52]But in the hall of mirrors I had felt so high
[09:05.25]I cannot walk another mile in this flood
[09:10.62]So resigned to my fate, I just collapse in the mud
[09:16.00]If I cannot go on, I'll just lay down and die

[09:28.51]Suddenly a light I see, shining in the distance
[09:33.62]I make my way toward it with my fading hope reborn
[09:38.36]As I draw near, the light is clear
[09:41.35]Though the rain beats its resistance
[09:43.64]But I press on and pray this is a shelter from the storm
[09:48.64]Adcing now toward the light (Moving forward)
[09:50.79]I'm quickly moving forward (Marching forward)
[09:53.53]This hope has given me new strength (Moving forward)
[09:55.93]I thought I'd never know (To the light)
[09:58.52]But I take a step, and fall right back (Moving forward)
[10:01.15]For the ground is gone beneath me (Marching forward)
[10:03.61]And I behold, illuminated (Moving forward)
[10:06.16]in the light's warm glow (To the light)
[10:08.58]A dark chasm, a great abyss
[10:11.21]a vast expanse of nothingness
[10:13.62]a pit that has no bottom as far as the eye can see
[10:18.51]It spans the whole horizon, and there is no way across
[10:23.51]My lonely heart is shattered and all hope I had is lost
[10:29.87]
[10:31.13]I'm startled to feel a hand on my shoulder
[10:35.99]I turn to see a shadowed figure standing in the rain
[10:41.06]but somehow I'm not afraid of Him
[10:44.54]even when He speaks my name
[10:50.32]
[11:00.51]And somehow I can tell that He means me no harm
[11:05.81]just by the peace that I see in His eyes
[11:10.94]And even though I've never even seen Him before
[11:15.90]it's like He's known me all my life
[11:21.32]"Why are you crying?" the stranger asks
[11:26.51]as I wipe away the tears
[11:31.44]I point toward the great abyss
[11:36.52]the source of all my fears
[11:40.73]
[11:41.74]"I must get across and get to that light
[11:46.81]for it represents my only hope tonight
[11:51.65]but when I saw the chasm, all that hope was lost
[12:01.66]I've spent so long in the dark and the rain
[12:06.65]that the sight of the light made my heart sing again
[12:11.95]but the gulf's so wide, and there's no way across"

[12:22.33]The stranger smiled, and took my hand
[12:26.90]He said, "But you are wrong, my friend
[12:31.23]You cannot cross the gulf yourself, that's true"
[12:39.73]He led me down toward the edge
[12:44.51]and pointed just over the ledge
[12:48.93]and said, "Behold, I built a bridge for you"
[12:58.18]
[13:33.24]I cross the bridge toward the light
[13:38.03]The stranger saved my life tonight
[13:42.67]I turn to try to thank Him, but He's gone
[13:51.18]A long way to the other side
[13:55.91]I'll make my way without my guide
[14:00.30]No time to waste, for I must carry on
[14:07.58]
[14:08.60]The bright light shines forth from behind
[14:12.51]A door beyond description
[14:15.04]Blood and scratches mark the door from ages of abuse
[14:20.31]I'm confused no more, for above the door
[14:22.96]Is a weathered, old inscription:
[14:25.82]"All who would see reality, enter the Hall of Truth"
[14:31.09]And so I do

[15:23.98]III. The Truth Revealed
[15:33.27]
[15:35.53]As I step inside
[15:38.94]I can see another mirror
[15:41.83]A mirror so bright
[15:44.79]that my eyes must turn away
[15:47.40]A mirror so high
[15:50.10]I start to question all the others
[15:52.73]And as I stand there in the Hall of Truth
[15:56.13]my heart can only say:
[15:59.04]"Show me the truth, I don't know what to believe
[16:01.71]for the mirrors all showed something different to me
[16:04.90]and my pride has given way to misery
[16:10.51]I've spent so long in the dark and the rain
[16:13.21]that the sight of the light made my heart sing again
[16:15.92]and the stranger built a bridge across for me"
[16:21.05]
[16:21.93]"BEHOLD THYSELF" a voice rings out
[16:24.34]in paralyzing thunder
[16:27.32]It echoes all throughout the hall
[16:30.06]and sends me to my knees
[16:33.01]When the voice calls my name
[16:34.66]I'm overcome with fear and wonder
[16:38.59]As I slowly start to rise
[16:40.89]and face the great mirror in front of me
[16:43.95]When I open my eyes, I have to close them again
[16:49.47]but still the image is burned in my mind...
[16:55.07]A face with eyes as black as night
[16:59.80]A terrifying sight
[17:02.62]The flesh rotting away in sickness and decay
[17:07.92]It's mangled by disease
[17:10.96]I'm unable to breathe
[17:13.46]Tell me what manner of creature this could be
[17:17.51]'Cause it's not me
[17:18.26]
[17:18.95]I run away as fast as my feet will carry me
[17:23.79]back to the door leading out into the night
[17:29.56]Even the storm that almost claimed my life
[17:33.06]was better than this
[17:34.70]And so I throw open the door and see a man
[17:38.96](The figure of a man)
[17:41.06]The stranger from the storm returns again
[17:43.81](To save me once again?)
[17:46.60]I see understanding in his eyes
[17:49.46](He's seen this all before)
[17:52.21]Maybe He can tell me what I saw behind that door
[17:57.85]
[17:58.62]"Tell me what I saw in the mirror before I ran away
[18:03.80]Tell me what I saw in the mirror
[18:06.09]that face of sickness and decay
[18:09.26]Tell me what I saw in the mirror that left me terrorized
[18:15.11]Tell me what I saw in the mirror
[18:17.32]with the lifeless, blackened eyes?
[18:20.01]Was it a demon from the fiery waves?
[18:23.20]Was it the undead from beyond the grave?
[18:25.83]Oh the face that I beheld in the mirror left me paralyzed
[18:30.81]Won't you tell me what I saw in the mirror on this night?"

[18:37.10]"The light from the mirror you saw from afar
[18:42.57]The Mirror of Souls shows all men as they are
[18:48.40]You entered the hall and you asked for the truth
[18:53.55]The man that you saw in the mirror was you"
[18:59.03]
[18:59.96]"No! Don't show me the truth 'cause I don't want to believe
[19:02.81]What the Mirror of Souls has revealed unto me
[19:05.69]And the face I saw reflected cannot be me
[19:10.74]Dying and lost in the arms of decay
[19:13.87]I do not recognize the face I've seen today
[19:16.74]And if you say that's my face I must disagree"

[19:22.56]The meaning of these things I saw:
[19:25.55]The mirror is the holy eyes of God
[19:29.94]
[19:32.52]The truth unveiled before me
[19:36.21]with these words of the stranger:
[19:39.48]"The mirrors you saw in the hall long ago
[19:44.81]Were mirrors of lies, not reflecting the soul
[19:50.51]When you look unto others to see what they see
[19:56.02]You see an illusion, deception, false reality"

[20:07.60]I have seen my soul in the mirror and it has broken me
[20:15.03]I have seen myself so much clearer than I had ever seen
[20:21.78]"Can't you take away all this sickness from my soul and set me free?
[20:32.15]You can save me...I believe"
[20:39.03]
[20:40.50]And then He said, "Arise, my child
[20:44.51]your faith has made you reconciled
[20:48.12]Now gaze into the Mirror once again"
[20:55.27]We walked together through the door
[20:59.29]and I looked in the glass once more
[21:02.81]but the only one reflected back was Him
[21:09.59]Somehow the only one the mirror saw was Him

[21:21.51]Gazing in the Mirror of my Soul
[21:28.71]Staring at the man who took my place and made me whole
[21:36.36]In the Mirror, the Mirror of my Soul
[21:52.35]
